Product
consists of both steel framed and aluminum framed casual outdoor
furniture with a unique difference. The difference is its action,
starting with the first swivel rocker patent granted Mert
Bottemiller in 1956. Today, there are chairs that swivel, rock,
glide, and recline; and tables that adjust to many heights. Action
continues to be an important part of the company’s furniture
lineup. The furniture is shipped throughout the United States and
Canada, as well as more than 20 other countries in South America,
Europe, and the Middle East. Sales are conveyed through factory
representatives domestically, and through qualified distributors
internationally.
With a 210,000 square foot factory
built in 1999, plus an additional 250,000 square foot of warehouse
facilities, Homecrest is a "state of the art" casual and
outdoor furniture manufacturer.
Homecrest is a 5-time recipient of
the coveted Manufacturer Leadership Award as the best casual
furniture manufacturer in the United States. Homecrest won the award
in 1991, 1994, 1995, 1996, and 1999. The award, instituted in 1990,
is presented by the National Association of Casual Furniture
Retailers at their annual industry forum. Homecrest has won the
award more times than any other manufacturer and is the only company
to win three years in a row. Retailers from across the country vote
from among five finalists. Criteria for the award include quality,
design, merchandising, customer service, delivery, ethics,
communications, and trade relations.
